Where can I catch the bus?

Does the SNOWBUS pick up from the airport?

  • We pick up at the Airport Station Bus Exchange near the Vancouver Airport (YVR) Main Terminal. The Airport Station Bus Exchange is immediately next to the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel and is a three minute taxi ride from the YVR Main Terminal and about a five minute tax ride from the YVR South Terminal. Taxi Fare is approximately $10, plus a 15% gratuity. If you are a guest of the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel, you can use its shuttle from the YVR Main Terminal to the Hotel. Once you are at the Hotel, the Airport Station Bus Exchange can be found across the parking lot from the Hotel’s Lobby.

How much does it cost?

  • Rates to ride SnowBus may vary depending on whether you board in Richmond or Vancouver. Prices start from $18.87 one way and $33.96 Return (SnowCard Rate), plus Goods and Services Tax (GST) and a $2 booking fee per transaction.
  • SnowCard members receive preferred rates on travel to Whistler.

Is the Whistler taxi loop close to the lifts?

  • Yes. The Whistler Blackcomb taxi loop is located in the center of the village and Whistler Gondolas are located in upper village about 5 minute walk away.
  • Blackcomb base is located about 15 minutes away.

Do I have to be a member to ride SnowBus?

  • You do not need to be a member to ride SnowBus.
  • However, SnowCard membership provides you with discounts on rides to Whistler, food, beverages and other entertainment venues in Vancouver and Whistler.

Why would I want to be a SnowCard member?

  • To qualify for ALL the deals listed on the website’s benefits page. For example, member benefits include on-mountain discounts for food and beverage, retail and rentals.

How do I become a member of SnowBus?

  • You can become a SnowBus member by obtaining a SnowCard for a small annual fee. For details visit http://www.snowbus.ca/snowbus/_cont/sc_snowcard.aspx.
  • If you are a BC resident of a 4x4, Edge or ISIC cardholder, your SnowCard is free! Call our office at 604-685-7669 for details on how to get your card today.

If I live in Whistler, can I use SnowBus and become a SnowCard member?

  • Yes! Whistler residents can ride SnowBus between Metro Vancouver (including Richmond) and Whistler, plus become SnowClub members with all of the benefits by obtaining a SnowCard. To register for a SnowCard visit http://www.snowbus.ca/snowbus/_cont/sc_snowcard.aspx.

How much notice do you need before I cancel my ticket?

  • You should notify staff at SnowBus at last 48 hours before canceling your ticket. Please call the office directly at 604-685-7669 or 1-866-766-7669 to cancel your ticket and gain your refund. Cancellation between 24 and 48 hours will result in a $15 fee.

Do I need photo ID to ride SnowBus?

  • Yes. Everyone needs current government issued identification to ride SnowBus, except children 12 and under traveling with a parent or guardian. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I pay during pick up?

  • Yes – depending on the bus stop. Visit the Bus Stop / Maps Page of the SnowBus website as some stops do not allow for walk-ons. To avoid disappointment as paying during pick up is equivalent to stand by travel where a seat is not guaranteed, we highly encourage you to book in advance.

Can I take a bike on the bus?

  • Bikes are not permitted on the bus.

Where is lost and found?

  • Phone (604) 685-7669 to inquire about lost items left on SnowBus. To pick up your item, please visit in person the SnowBus office at 208-318 Homer Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. SnowBus is not responsible for items left on its buses.

Do you provide parking?

  • No. We recommend taking public transit to the SnowBus pick up points.

Are pets allowed on the bus?

  • Pets are not allowed on the bus. This policy exists for the safety, health and well being of passengers as well as your pet.

What if I need a hotel?

  • Accommodations and packages in Metro Vancouver and Whistler, plus SnowBus tickets, can be purchased through Tourism British Columbia by phoning 1-800-Hello-BC or (604) Hello-BC.

Do l have to remove my own bags?

  • Yes. Customers should remove their own luggage. We have hosts onboard the bus to assist you with your luggage. Please discuss this matter with customer service staff at the time of booking.

What happens if I forget my password?

  • If you forget you username, please contact staff at SnowBus. We will be happy to assist you with resetting your password, arranging your next booking or any other questions that you may have.

Can I book for more people than just myself?

  • Yes. Our online reservation system enables you to make reservations for you and your friends. Just visit the online booking page to plan a trip for you and your friends.
